Get On The Air (GOTA) Class!
You have your new license, or soon will, and now there are more
questions than ever. What type of radio should I buy? What can I do

These are some of the many questions that new Hams have.

Got an evening to spare? Then seize the opportunity and attend this
popular hands on class free of charge.

When? Monday November 16th 2009, 7:00 -- 9:00 pm.

Where? Alameda Fire Dept Training Center, 431 Stardust Place, Alameda, CA 94501.

How much? Class is free!

Information?: For more information contact David Hay, KI6AWR (ki6awr@arrl.net) or Paul Bailey Gates, KA6GEM.

Hams needed 7/12 for Livestrong in SJ
This is a mutual aid request from the city of San Jose to Santa Clara County OES, and MACs are needed to assist.

They are looking first for hams who have 25 watt (or higher) mobile capability, but would also like to hear from hams who only have HT equipment.

All interested responders should send their name and call sign (and equipment status) to Larry Carr, KE6AGJ, at KE6AGJ@arrl.net as soon as possible.
