| Intro to EmComm Course Sat. May 15th |
There will be another Intro to Emergency Communications course on Saturday, May 15th. This course is primarily for new hams who are interested in Emergency Communications.
The course includes the basics of simplex and duplex operations, how to participate in nets, and things to look for when selecting your first radio and accessories, as well as an introduction to the local EmComm groups. It includes several videos and audio recordings and always gets very high feedback scores. So, if you know of new hams who could benefit from this course, please pass the info along.
The course info is here, including a link to sign up for the course:
http://www.scc-ares-races.org/training/courses/Intro_to_EmComm/Course_Intro_to_EmComm.html∞
The course is taught by Santa Clara County ARES/RACES, but folks from any county are welcome to attend. |
